  1. Glad I read this Spidey issue. I did want to know how the cliffhanger resolved, and it was pretty well. I give it a 4. "Chuckles" never gets old as a Spidey nickname.

The only Spider-title I've seen with Faustus since then was Marvel Team-Up #133, but ... boy it's hard to explain, and would ruin the twist of the story. I'll just say MTU 132-133 is a really good two-parter to check out.

I had the Star Wars Treasury Edition back in the day. (the flood of '81 got it.) I'll have to see about re-reading it on digital. I really liked it back then, and to Delvin's question about "why publish this? Is it just a cash grab?" I have to defend Jason's points. (Crazy, right?)

I was 9 when the movie came out. In 1977, cable TV was extremely rare and expensive, and the premium channels (like HBO) were just starting. The Betamax/VHS/Laserdisc fight was just starting, and also expensive. So seeing the movie after release was limited to network TV "Movie of the week" showings. Basically, (using old timer voice) we didn't have it like you whipper-snappers do with yer streams and ray-blues and whatnot!

On the flip side, the Star Wars action figures were a HUGE success. So any media to re-enact the movie with your toys was AWESOME! I had both this Treasury plus an album of the movie's story, complete with actual dialog from the movie. That was some fun times!

Oh, and Vader's coffee cup. That explains something. When I rewatch the original, and Vader force chokes that guy, I totally imagine him holding a cup. And I couldn't remember why!!!! Mystery solved!

Thanks, Crusaders! Another big "thank you" for having me on the show. Keep reading!
