The late 1970s were a strange time for cinema as studios everywhere tried to capitalize on Star Wars’ success. Re-releases of now banned Disney films, low-budget drive-in schlock, and multiple homages to that galaxy far-far away. What was old was new again, right down to the subject of this month’s episode: the 1979 Canadian theatrical release of the TV pilot for Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
